I'm Sam Ferrara, a landscape photographer based in Switzerland.

My work explores landscapes shaped by time, restraint, and quiet forces. I’m drawn to subtle light, imperfect conditions, and places that resist easy interpretation.

Rather than documenting location, I focus on atmosphere - what a place suggests rather than what it shows. Each image is meant to be experienced slowly, as a pause from the noise of the everyday.

Philosophy

Photography, for me, is about patience and observation. It's waiting for the perfect light, finding the right composition, and understanding the story each location tells. I believe in letting the subject speak for itself, with minimal intervention and maximum respect for the natural environment.
